About me...
I'm a New Englander, growing up in a small town in Maine, the youngest of nine children. I've since lived in various places throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, ultimately settling in the the beautiful Newfound Lake area.
I was heavily inspired by my Dad who took up painting in his 60s in preparation for his retirement from the corporate world, and it ultimately became his passion - and I'm convinced contributed to his long term health. Once I started learning this art, I fell in love with it and I've come to meet (and grow) an amazing new community of folks that this passion has brought to my life.
The Creative Process...
I spend nearly all my spare time in my studio in the Newfound Lake region. I specialize in hand-building imperfectly perfect pieces of functional pottery, often incorporating seasonal flowers, leaves, and grasses from the local area. And I love experimenting with new glaze combinations. No two pieces are the same.
